*This bid is subject to RCW 35.92.350. To be considered for award the Contractor must currently be approved on the “2017 Tacoma Power Prequalified Electrical Contractors List” in compliance with the requirements of this specification.

Project Scope: The City will contract with one (1) prequalified electrical contractor from the 2017 Tacoma Power Prequalified Electrical Contractors List (see Section 01010 part 1.7). Replace the existing 115kV transmission lines with new foundations, structures, and conductors. This contract includes the removal of existing conductors, lead painted lattice steel towers and their foundations.

Pre-Proposal Meeting: A pre-bid meeting will be held at Tuesday, February 6, 2018, 10:00 a.m., at Tacoma Public Utilities, Administration Building North, 3628 South 35th Street, Tacoma, WA 98409, in Conference Room ABN-G1. The purpose of the pre-bid meeting is to answer questions about this solicitation and any special or technical requirements, as well as the City’s SBE and LEAP goals.
