Waters, 326 East D Street, Tacoma WA 98421 on Tuesday, February 3, 2020 at 11:00
AM. A site visit to the Olympic View Resource Area will follow the meeting, and
attendance is strongly encouraged.
Project Scope: The Work is being performed to replenish the existing sediment cap at the Olympic View Resource Area (OVRA) located within the boundaries of the Commencement Bay Nearshore/Tideflats Superfund Site in Tacoma, Washington. The sediment cap was originally placed at the OVRA in the early 2000s and the results of monitoring indicate that the cap has been reduced to below the minimum regulatoryrequired thickness. The Work generally includes importing, placing and grading of four different material types to the specified limits, grades, contours, thicknesses, slopes and tolerances described in the Contract Documents to replenish the loss of cap material and build a smooth, natural beach. The Work is being performed under an Administrative Order on Consent between the City of Tacoma and United States Environmental Protection Agency.
