Pre-Proposal Meeting: A pre-proposal meeting will be held in Room 243, Tacoma Municipal Building, Tacoma, Washington, 98402 at 2:00 pm on 01/31/19 to answer questions regarding the Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program and Local Employment and Apprenticeship Training Program (LEAP) requirements included in the contract. Prospective bidders are urged to attend.
Project Scope: This Contract shall generally consist of upgrading all ramps at the S. Cedar Street/S. 19th Street intersection to meet current ADA standards, improving the signal timing and pedestrian mobility with vehicular detection, and the installation of accessible pedestrian push buttons and countdown pedestrian signals. Additionally, a non-compliant driveway approach will be replaced with an ADA accessible section, and the project will construct approximately 1,200 linear feet of missing link sidewalk between the S 19th St/Cedar St. intersection and the Bates Technical
College campus sidewalk. Inclusive of this work is tree removal and/or pruning and landscaping all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications.
