In this webinar, you will hear directly from angel investors and businesses based here in Tacoma. Receive insight on pitch decks and presentations. Learn how the process of asking for funds to eventually receiving funds works. Presenters will share their personal knowledge and experiences to help expose you to the world of angel investing.

This workshop will be divided into four 45-minute segments:

  1. Lecture: introduction into angel investing and interactive panel discussion/interview from experienced professionals
  2. Perspective Angel Investors
  3. Perspective of Business Owners who have received funding from Angel Investors
  4. Perspective of Business Owners who are currently seeking funding

William Manzanares is a serial entrepreneur with a range of small business start-up experience. Coaching and mentoring small business owners to find success in his or her businesses.

Dennis Joyce, Angel Investor, Tacoma Venture Fund
Dennis Joyce is a Tacoma based early-stage investor with the Tacoma Venture Fund. He has 6 years experience as a full-time angel investor and has made 23 investments. Of his 23 investments, 17 have been in companies led by either female or minority-led teams.
