She has a master’s degree in mass communications with a specialization in integrated marketing and social/digital media from the University of Florida. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in international relations with a specialization in international political economy. She is also a trained mediator through the Washington Dispute Resolution Center of Skagit, Island and Snohomish counties (Volunteers of America).
