Description: Kitsap Economic Development Alliance (“KEDA”) is seeking an experienced Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (“DEI”) consultant to engage our board on a process of transformation that will result in greater incorporation of Black, Indigenous and Persons of Color (“BIPOC”), Asian American and Pacific Islander (“AAPI”) and other disadvantaged communities into our economic development work.
The successful firm will have experience engaging at the executive level in doing the hard work of racial equity training, educating stakeholders, and building broad buy-in to the concept amongst board leadership and investor members of KEDA. The successful firm will also create a framework for KEDA executing on DEI. It is vital the consultant is able to drive some form of consensus on a shared DEI vision, actions and continuing accountability across a wide variety of stakeholders. The desired outcome is a board that is enthusiastic about supporting DEI work and orienting KEDA toward deeper DEI considerations in our mission.
Budget: A budget not to exceed $60,000 has been established for this program for a 19-month engagement.
