Description: The Port of Seattle (Port) is the sponsor of the Single-Family, Apartment Complex, and Places of Worship Sound Insulation Programs (SIP) being funded, in whole or in part, by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). The Port has overall responsibility for the SIP and is the sponsor of each project.
As part of the Port’s ongoing effort to reduce interior noise levels caused by aircraft noise, approximately eighty (80) single-family residential properties, nine hundred three (903) units in eighteen (18) apartment complexes, and seven (7) places of worship within the SEA noise remedy boundary have been determined to be potentially eligible to participate in this SIP. The actual number of locations eligible for participation in the SIP has yet to be determined.
