Due Date: March 26, 2020

Summary: The Port of Tacoma seeks to dismantle, disassemble, remove and scrap 6 Valmet 1991 Straddle carriers, asset numbers 1542, 1543, 1544, 1545, 1547, and 1548. To include properly removing and disposing of all fluids. Each Straddle Carrier weights approximately 127,755 pounds. All work is to be completed in 30 days, start to finish. This project will comply with all codes, standards, regulations, and workers’ safety rules that are administered by federal agencies (HUD, EPA, OSHA, and DOT), state agencies (State OSHA, DNR, and DCH), and any other local regulations and standards (i.e. building codes) that may apply.

Renovations include but are not limited to demolition and new construction to accommodate new imaging equipment furnished and installed by the owner. New partitions, casework, finishes, radiation shielding, structural, mechanical, and electrical improvement and infection prevention measures.
