Project Scope: The City of Tacoma (City) / Tacoma Public Utilities (TPU) / Tacoma Rail is soliciting bids to establish one or more contracts with qualified vendors to fulfill the City’s needs for DOT Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) drug and alcohol testing in compliance with 49 CFR Part 219, and Non-DOT (company) testing for random, reasonable cause, reasonable suspicion, follow-up, post accidents and pre-employment tests, scheduled and on-call service. Tacoma Rail is a seven day per week, 24 hour per day railroad, working some Holidays. Contract(s) will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder(s) based on price, product quality and availability.
