Project Scope: The Community Reinvestment Project (CRP), funded by the Washington State Department of Commerce with $4 million, empowers communities disproportionately affected by historical injustices, including
the enforcement of drug possession laws. Through two loan programs and two grant programs, the City of Tacoma provides risk-embracing capital to support business growth and sustainability. To ensure equitable access, culturally competent technical assistance providers will offer services such as financial document preparation, application support, growth strategy guidance, and outreach to help historically underserved businesses successfully access these opportunities.
