Waterfront Seattle – RFP – Overlook Walk (GC/CM)

Due Date: 9/19/2018

Estimate: $50 million

The City of Seattle is soliciting for a General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) for preconstruction services and construction of the Overlook Walk Project through the enclosed Request for Qualifications and Proposed Approach (RFQ/PA).

Statements of Qualifications and Proposed Approach (SOQPA) responses are due 9/19.

Overlook Walk is a public pathway connecting Seattle’s Waterfront to Pike Place Market and Seattle’s urban core. The future public walkway enhances the existing web of connections through and near the Market down to the waterfront near the Seattle Aquarium at Pier 59. It is designed for all ages and abilities, with gradual slopes, new elevators and places to linger along the walk. The path provides elevated views of Elliott Bay and the city skyline, a safe and accessible connection, and new public spaces to relax and enjoy. The project combines vertical building construction components including enclosed spaces on both sides of Alaskan Way at multiple elevations, with major transportation elements including a pedestrian bridge, stairways, walkways, earthwork and utilities.
