Port of Tacoma – RFQ – (IDIQ) MECHANICAL and ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING SERVICES 2025 PA000000026 – Due 11/18/24

Procurement Summary: The Port of Tacoma (POT) and the Northwest Seaport (NWSA) are soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms interested in providing [electrical and mechanical engineering services on an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) basis. The POT/NWSA anticipates awarding a total of 4 contract(s).
Two (2) consultants will be chosen and each consultant will receive a $300k contract for the POT and a $300k contract for the NWSA.
The period of performance of the contracts is three (3) years from the execution of the contract, with options for renewal at the sole discretion of the POT/NWSA, for a possible total of five (5) years.
The POT/NWSA anticipates the need for electrical and mechanical engineering services to further define the scope of improvement projects, develop a project implementation plan, prepare design documents, prepare cost estimates, prepare construction bid documents, and support construction activities for proposed projects. The work will include, but not be limited to, preliminary engineering, engineering, programming, sequencing, phasing, budgeting, scheduling, quality assurance/quality control, design, specifications, and construction support.
The successful respondent may be precluded from competing for, or participating in, subsequent contracts that are the direct result of or primarily generated by, the work performed under the contract resulting from this procurement.
