Scope: The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) located in Richland, WA utilizes Battelle Memorial Institute (BMI) owned buildings at both the PNNL Richland Campus, in Richland, WA, and PNNL Marine Sciences Laboratory (MSL), in Sequim, WA. PNNL is requesting that a Tier 2 seismic evaluation of certain BMI facilities at each location be performed in accordance with ASCE/SEI 41-13 “Seismic Evaluation and Retrofit of Existing Buildings” using the Life Safety Performance Objective. *This bid is subject to RCW 35.92.350. To be considered for award the Contractor must currently be approved on the “2017 Tacoma Power Prequalified Electrical Contractors List” in compliance with the requirements of this specification.

Project Scope: The City will contract with one (1) prequalified electrical contractor from the 2017 Tacoma Power Prequalified Electrical Contractors List (see Section 01010 part 1.7). Replace the existing 115kV transmission lines with new foundations, structures, and conductors. This contract includes the removal of existing conductors, lead painted lattice steel towers and their foundations.

Pre-Proposal Meeting: A pre-bid meeting will be held at Tuesday, February 6, 2018, 10:00 a.m., at Tacoma Public Utilities, Administration Building North, 3628 South 35th Street, Tacoma, WA 98409, in Conference Room ABN-G1. The purpose of the pre-bid meeting is to answer questions about this solicitation and any special or technical requirements, as well as the City’s SBE and LEAP goals.
